Reduction of Fuel Surcharges. |

We are pleased to advise that the recent dramatic decline in world oil prices has lowered the January JET-A fuel price at Brisbane and regional ports by a considerable margin.
Whilst Honiara JET-A fuel price has also lowered, it remains approx double the Brisbane price.
Accordingly we are able to pass on to our customers the benefit of lower JET-A prices. The fuel surcharges have been reduced to:
BNE-HIR AUD 0.80c per kg - effective immediately
HIR-BNE SBD $3.00 per kg - effective immediately
We will continue to review the fuel surcharges monthly, as the world crude oil market is still very unstable, and we cannot discount the possibility of future increases again.

Unfortunately due to the latest increase in World jet fuel prices Pacific Air Express has had to raise the Honiara
fuel surcharge to AUD $1.30 per KG. We will continue to monitor the situation. We did not make this adjustment lightly
and this decision was forced by the increased operating fuel costs.

Pacific Air Express (P.A.E.) provides regular and ad-hoc cargo flights throughout the South Pacific region.
P.A.E. is the cargo carrier of the Solomon Islands and provides up to 3 services per week to Honiara from Brisbane. Cargo carried by P.A.E. from Honiara to Brisbane is predominantly high valued perishable products such as fresh seafood
which are transhipped through Brisbane to Asian markets. Fruit and vegetables and various types of general cargo are the main imports into the Solomon Islands by airfreight. Please refer to our most recent flight schedule to confirm our next available freighter service. P.A.E. also provides a monthly cargo service to the Republic of Nauru in the Central Pacific. P.A.E. can also provide competitive charter prices for the ad-hoc services to other Pacific
destinations such as Vanuatu, Noumea, Fiji, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea and Micronesia. |
